Here's how Xender typically works:
Install Xender: Both the sender and the receiver need to have the Xender.one app installed on their devices. The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms.
Open Xender: Launch the Xender app on both devices.
Connect Devices: The sender creates a hotspot by tapping on the “Connect Phone” option in the Xender app and then selecting “Create Group.” The receiver joins the hotspot created by the sender by tapping on the “Connect Phone” option and selecting “Join Group.” Alternatively, some versions of Xender allow scanning a QR code to establish a connection.
Select and Send Files: Once the devices are connected, the sender can choose the files they want to transfer. This can include photos, videos, music, documents, and even apps. After selecting the files, they tap on the “Send” button.
Receive Files: The receiver will see the files being sent by the sender and can choose to accept them. Once they accept, the files are transferred directly from the sender's device to the receiver's device via Wi-Fi Direct.
Completion: Once the transfer is complete, both parties can disconnect from the Xender session.
