Think a few    moves ahead: Anticipate your opponent's moves and plan your own moves accordingly. Consider the potential outcomes and try to create opportunities for your own victory while simultaneously blocking your opponent's moves.
Blocking the opponent's move: Pay attention to your opponent's strategy and try to disrupt their plans. If you notice them building towards a four-disc sequence, strategically place your discs to block their progress and force them to change their strategy.
