In Sweden, all research involving humans or their integrity must be reviewed by the Ethical Review board(s).
Non-interventional studies (e.g. Epidemiological studies following AE on the market) will only be assessed by EC, not CA.
Interventional studies will be judged by both CA and EC
NB! If ionising radiation or radiological methods are used: Additional approval from Local Radiation Protection Committees (at university hospitals) is required!
