Additional Information
In Finland, statutory ethics committees include the National Committee on Medical Research Ethics (TUKIJA) and regional ethics committees.
Ethical evaluation of research projects and issuing an opinion on them is the responsibility of the EC of the region where the person responsible for the research is based or where the major part of the research is to be conducted.
TUKIJA shall deliver the opinion if the task has not been delegated to a regional EC.
